Ann Rooney was born on August 15, 1925 in San Jose, California, USA as Shirley Ann McCully. She was an actress, known for High School Hero (1946), Freddie Steps Out (1946) and Slightly Terrific (1944). She died on August 16, 2006 in Toluca Lake, California.

She was good friends of Jean Porter and Virginia Weidler while all three worked at MGM.

She was underage when she got her first contract and first had to obtain court approval, stipulating initial salaries of $75 a week.
Born to Ernest McCully and Hazel Rooney, both professional vaudeville dancers.
On stage from the age of five. At sixteen, she was singing with Muzzy Marcellino’s band at the Glendale, California, Civic Auditorium.
